Hello! I'm hosting a free workshop to help businesses optimize their Google My Business Profiles (GMB). The workshop will be held on January 18th from 2-3 pm at the Missoula Public Library, room 401 or you can attend via Zoom.
Business owners are busy! We don't always have time to keep up on marketing tasks, myself included! Setting up a GMB is a required step to rank on Google. But, this profile needs attention and regular updates. If you set yours up but have neglected it, not to worry! This is a great opportunity to increase your visibility on Google.

What We'll Cover
In this workshop I'll provide you with a checklist of the important actions you can take to optimize your GMB Profile. We'll go through them step-by-step to help familiarize you with the backend of your Profile. You can bring your laptop and follow along or take the checklist with you to work on it later.
I'll also show you cool features that you can unlock, like a free chatbot, that you can use to help attract new customers? I'll also show you how to generate a link with your customers so that they can easily leave 5-star reviews for you This is SO helpful for attracting new clients! We'll dive into this more in the workshop...
What To Expect
This is a friendly, no pressure lecture-style workshop. Your host, Erin, will present information and allow time for a Q&A. You are not required to speak publicly. Come enjoy snacks & refreshments & gather information. This will be a value-packed hour!
What To Bring
You can show up and just listen if you'd like! Or, bring your laptop, 4-10 quality images of your business (location, product, indoor or outdoor shots), the address of your location(s), phone number(s) and basic business info such as hours, service area etc. There is wifi in the Missoula Public Library so that you can connect your devices.

Soloprenuers to enterprise-level corporations all create the same GMB Profile, and we can customize it to your unique business. Brick & mortar businesses, those who offer online sales only and home businesses who do not publicly display their address will all benefit from this workshop.

Note: If you use your home address as your business address you can create a GMB without showing your address. While it is tougher for you to rank on Google, it is still a valuable action for you to setup the Profile.

Great question! An optimized GMB Profile is the equivalent of dressing in your finest professional attire, polishing your resume and walking in to an interview with your best foot forward. This signals to Google that your business & company website are credible and that they should direct people to it when they are searching online for your product or services. How cool is that!?
What Are The Benefits Of Optimizing Your Google My Business Profile
To further what I described above, optimizing your GMB Profile increases your visibility online. It helps you rank higher in Google search results which means more traffic to your website and more potential customers coming into your business.
It helps you share the most-accurate and up-to-date info with the public. There are also valuable analytics & data in your profile that helps you understand your traffic. One of my favorite features is seeing exactly what people are typing into Google that led to them clicking to your website. Again, how cool is this!?
Think of your GMB as a lead-generating, data-producing social media profile that doesn't require you to lip sync or dance on video to generate results.

Workshop Details
This workshop will be held at the Missoula Public Library or on Zoom January 18th from 2-3 pm. Please register in advance because space is limited. I also want to make sure that I have adequate support for fielding questions submitted via Zoom. If you are attending online instead of in person you'll receive a link via email to join the workshop online. I suggest checking to make sure you can log into your Zoom profile before the workshop begins. 😀 That way you'll avoid any glitches or last minute updates that appear at an inopportune time.
